Thermogenics: What Are They? How Do They Work?

As an experienced Personal Trainer, I have been asked many questions about the use of supplementation. Of all the questions I’ve been asked, the number one question that seems to come up on a regular basis is, “Should I be using a fat burner?”

This isn’t a question that can be answered on the spot; it should be referred to a doctor. This way the physician can assess the situation based on the person’s medical and physical profile. The point is that fat burners shouldn’t be taken lightly and they should be supervised by a medical professional.

The integration of fat burners into a daily routine (especially if a person hasn’t been working out or dieting on a regular basis) can be stressful and sometimes dangerous. However, under a doctor’s supervision, a high quality non-stimulant based fat burner can be a powerful tool in your desire to achieve the perfect body.

One such product that’s now available is the non-stimulant based thermogenic called LIPOLYZE. It was developed by Dave Palumbo, a well-known bodybuilder, nutritionist, and supplement expert. LIPOLYZE can be best categorized as a caloric wasting supplement. Whereas some of the fat-burning formulations on today’s market depend on stimulants such as ephedra, caffeine, and synephrine, LIPOLYZE rejects this methodology.  While stimulants do increase metabolic rate, they also increase the production of catabolic (muscle-wasting) hormones such as cortisol. As cortisol levels rise in the body, lean muscle tissue is broken down, immune system function is suppressed, and dangerous abdominal belly fat deposition is increased. According to Palumbo, LIPOLYZE is a product that works best in conjunction with proper nutrition.

Knowing there are supplements on the market that help people lose excess body fat, the most important thing to remember is that training, nutrition and hard work cannot be replaced by a pill. Such supplements merely augment and improve the results that come with a sounds program.  Ultimately, the success that’s achieved is primarily reliant on the daily efforts made by the individual in his/her daily training and nutritional regimen.
